I am trying to add a forum to an existing website using WebPlus X6. When I add users using the "Manage Smart Objects" tool the names in the members' list on the forum appear as the first part of their email addresses. Now, some members of this organisation would not wish their full names to appear on a publicly available forum, which this off site link becomes. Yesterday I could rectify this by logging into the main site as each user and changing the screen name using the "log in" webpart on the main site. The knock-on effect was that the visible name in the "Memberlist" on the forum was also changed. :) However, that isn't working today at all. :( The screen name changes in the main site but not in the list of members in the forum. To enable someone to log in to the forum themselves and to set their own screen name it would appear that I have to delete them from membership of the protected pages of the main site first (or an "email already in use" message comes up). I'm sorry this is a bit of a wordy post but it's quite hard to explain and even harder to fix. Can anyone help please?
