MoviePlus X3: GoPro editing with LRV file

following the instruction on other threads, regarding jerky previews. i have no choice but to use the proxy option, for my editing. when filming with the gopro it creates a .lrv file this is a low res proxy file, and if you change it to a .wmv or .mp4 with palys fine, but i need to link the hi-res video to the low res .wmv file for editing. has anyone tried this. .
