Publishing issue

I know this question has been asked so many times before but I really need help getting site uploaded.

I have read the help, bought the Serif Guide, seached the net but I'm only getting closer to throwing the laptop through the window. I have uploaded a previous site on X5 but was a while ago and so it's also a little embarassing to ask this question when i should know better.

I bought domain name from GoDaddy this evening - blackcatsecurity.co.uk.

Account name - Black Cat Security
FTP address - blackcatsecurity.co.uk
Port Number - 21
Folder - (blank)
Username - elbie99 (as per GoDaddy)
Password - (as per GoDaddy)
Passive Mode - ticked
Website URL - http://www.blackcatsecurity.co.uk/

I get the message - "An error occurred whilst trying to get the working directory from the FTP server"

I don't have connection problems.

From GoDaddy site I have option to upload, but where would site diles be?

Thoughts??
