Hi - Have built a 2 sided tri-fold brochure and am having issues outputting to PDF
(1) Publication was started using Tri_Fold template - setup as "Side Z-Fold" Width=11" Height=8.5 Landscape, Folded Publication. Print setup is Landscape (even thought this will not be printed at my PC, but will be sent to commercial printer)
2) File+Print Publish Preview - Document shows no bleeds to edge of paper!
3) Publish PDF - General Tab - Print Range - I can NOT get any landscape printing (program insists on printing single pages in portrait) so I quit this try and attempt the following:
4) Went out of Publish/Preview and chose Publish as PDF directly from menu bar - this time it offers me Prepress Bleed options, but resulted in same as above with no landscape printing ability.
After many attempts and a late night SM:CRYING I somehow managed to get the document to preview with full bleed to the edges and I could print single pages separately (2 landscape pages rather than the previous incorrect 6 portrait pages) but only if I had a generic print driver chosen. However, now much to my chagrin, the colour output was now appearing very muddy and literally unusable.
In the end, I had to settle for using CutePDF (no this is not an advert) which unlike PP6 easily output the 2 pages in landscape mode with full bleed and with nice rich colour just as shown on my screen, BUT unfortunately in a compressed format only, so it was not the best output for commercial printing.
Long and short of my 'experiment' suggests the print to PDF driver in PP6 needs some *serious* attention.
Am I off my rocker and simply missing something on this?
THanks
