I have come across probably what is a unique problem. I purchased Webplus X6 online download edition in August of 2012. I built a website that kept crashing when I tried to save the files. After doing further investigation, I found that I had another software program that shared the same database file extension as WebplusX6.
The Sage 50 (used to be known as Simply Accounting) which is a popular accounting software program used in Canada, has the file extension of .sdb and when I tried to build a website with Webplus X6, when trying to save the file, the database would not save properly causing my software to crash. A temporary workaround was to go into paypal and create a database there for each item and then use a file link if a person wanted to purchase a product.
Due to the sensitivity and trying to keep integrety of my accounting files, which the software for accounting is considerably more expensive than Webplus X6, I have decided to withdraw using Webplus X6 any further for the time being which saddens me, as the software is user friendly to use to design websites and the booklet is easy to follow.
If anyone is using Simply Accounting of Sage 50 accounting software, please be aware that the file extension for the webplus x6 database files share the same file extension letters as Sage 50.
