This is almost too bizarre to explain easily, so please bear with me. First, Im using Webplus X5, v13.0.0.016. Im updating a website that I did about a year ago, which uses many wplightbox photo galleries on various pages all of which have worked just fine. The problem Im getting is that sometimes when I add another wplightbox photo gallery to a page that already has some, Im getting the wrong lightbox characteristics for that lightbox only, and an extra caption in the middle of my images (the caption text is Caption). Plus, that extra caption is persistent it remains in the browser window (Firefox), even when I close the lightbox I can only get rid of it by refreshing the page.
Now for the bizarre, grisly details. The newly added wplightbox gallery seems to have some sort of conflict with another wplightbox on that same page. If I use unique characteristics for the two conflicting lightboxes, I can see how they are affecting each other. By changing only the caption location of the two lightboxes, I can a) get the border shape/border color of the added lightbox to agree with either the existing lightbox settings or the newly added lightbox settings and b) the same with the border shape/border color/caption fill/caption text color of the captions. The two sets of characteristics (a and b) swap around, depending on the specific combination of the caption locations that I set.
Looking at the html code, I can see that the wplightbox script calls for the conflicting lightboxes are one after the other, but sometimes they change locations with each other, and that correlates to how the characteristics change. The border shape and border color for both the image and the real caption on the added lightbox get the settings from whichever lightbox is called first, while the extra, persistent Caption gets the settings from the lightbox which is called afterwards (example attached).
By the way, the existing lightbox gallery always works properly, only the added lightbox is messed up.
Sorry for the long-winded explanation its hard to express succinctly! Any ideas on whats going on?
Thanks much,
Brian.
