WebPlus X6: Help with WPX6 CMS

SM:HELP I think the old brain must be a little rusty this morning as I'm struggling with the CMS in WPX6. Here's what I've done:
1.I've added a CMS object to my page
2.I've set up a Access Control with two users

But I'm struggling with the following
1.How do I link the ACG to the CMS object? I can't see any method of doing this.
2.When the login screen appears after pressing Administer, I get a message that there is no user with that email address
3.The Help talks about setting up Articles, categories etc but again I can't see anywhere where I can do this.

I'm sure the answers to these questions are simple but I'm struggling to find them, even having searched this forum.
