WebPlus X5: Access Control - Browser Authentication

Hi,

I've set up Access Control on one of my websites, which works fine in the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The user simply enters their details on the login page, and is then redirected to the page.

However, this doesn't work in Safari, and in older versions of IE. Although the user enters their details correctly, a browser box appears asking for authentication (please see attached screenshot). The user enters their details in again, and all seems to work well.

Can anyone suggest what is going wrong?
